NekoJB offers two installation methods depending on your iOS version and device.

The rootful version supports devices up to the iPhone X (A11 chip and earlier). For A12+ devices (iPhone XS and newer), use the rootless version. Follow the appropriate guide below based on your iOS version.

For iOS 15 – iOS 26: NekoJB Online Installation (Rootless)

This method uses the zJailbreak third-party app store for a simple, no-PC installation.

1. Download NekoJB

Ensure TrollStore 2 IPA installer is installed on your device. Refer to its official guide if needed.

2. Download NekoJB IPA

3. Install NekoJB IPA

• Open TrollStore 2 on your device.
• Tap the + button and select the downloaded NekoJB IPA to install it.

4. Run Jailbreak

• Open the NekoJB app from your home screen.

• Tap Jailbreak, select a package manager (e.g., Cydia, Sileo), and wait for the process to complete.

Cydia 2 As a NekoJB Alternative

Cydia 2 is a top alternative to the NekoJB jailbreak. While you can install Saurik’s original Cydia via NekoJB, it’s outdated and no longer updated by Saurik.

Cydia 2 is a modified, updated version of the classic Cydia. NekoJB users can opt for Cydia 2 instead of Saurik’s version. Like the original, Cydia 2 supports adding repositories and installing tweaks through its package manager.

NekoJB Troubleshooting

1 – NekoJB App Crashes on Launch

Cause: Incomplete installation or device incompatibility

Solution: Ensure you’re using the correct NekoJB version (Online for iOS 16+, PC for iOS 15). Delete the app and reinstall via zJailbreak or TrollStore 2. If rootless, verify your device is compatible with zJailbreak and has no active profile conflicts (Settings > VPN & Device Management).

2 – Jailbreak Stuck or Not Completing

Cause: Exploit failure or conflicting system processes

Solution: Reboot your device and try again. Put the device in airplane mode before launching the jailbreak app. Disable Low Power Mode temporarily (Settings > Battery).

3 – Package Manager Not Installing

Cause: The NekoUtil app didn’t appear or install correctly

Solution: Open NekoJB again and re-run the jailbreak process. Ensure the internet connection is active when choosing a package manager. Restart the device after jailbreak and check for the NekoUtil icon again.

4 – Cydia or Sileo Crashes on Launch

Cause: Incompatible tweak or corrupted installation

Solution: Use another package manager (e.g., Zebra) to remove recently installed tweaks. Try Safe Mode if available. Re-jailbreak and reinstall the package manager from NekoUtil.

5 – TrollStore Installation Fails

Cause: Unsupported firmware or missing entitlement

Solution: Make sure you’re on a supported iOS version (15.0–15.7.6). Use the latest version of TrollStore 2 or follow the official TrollStore 2 guide for your iOS version by clicking here.
